Our Story
Where it began
Late Rajoo Parasuraman was a school dropout. Nevertheless, he was the person who set "Amigo" fishing boat on its initial business journey as a family trade.
A "kick in the ass" served as a sudden wake up call to reason his son Indiren to forego a government job and to join him in the family fish trade. Late Rajoo had these inspiring, fateful words that would change his son's destiny: "The Sea is the Future".
Indiren's father was a visionary, innovator, focused on the future. He wanted Indiren to help carry this dream forward. Nothing less!
How we grew
Bella Amigo Seafood is our flagship business component which inspired our entrepreneurship story.
Early seventies, we were a fishing boat owner-cum-fish banyan doing door to door fresh fish trade. Early eighties, we pioneered the export of fresh fish. Early nineties, we pioneered the import of fresh seafood and we started to timidly serve selected restaurants and hotels located along the northern coastal area.
Today, we serve the Mauritian Hotel Industry, high end restaurants, private hospitals, banks, flight catering services, cruise ships, retailers, wholesalers.
